Spatial Programs
The Improving access to spatial information program is a framework to enable government departments to manage their information assets and deliver public sector information to the broader community through Metadata, Custodianship and the Data Publishing Service.
The Coordinated Imagery Program (CIP) coordinates the purchase of aerial photography and satellite imagery across Victoria for a range of government and non-government organisations
The Information Services Branch (ISB) engages Data Service Providers (DSPs) to help market its products and services.
On-sellers- "On-seller" Data Service Providers (DSPs) usually provide data, services and training in using Vicmap with the customers business information. Some Providers only supply Vicmap Data, others also supply Vicmap Imagery - Aerial Photography.
Value Added Resellers- "Value Added Reseller" (VARs) Data Service Providers produce spatial products or services using their spatial resources mixed with Vicmap data.
