Proposals

The Registrar of Geographic Names receives naming proposals from naming authorities to name or rename a feature or road, or to name a locality or amend its boundary.  Refer to the Guidelines for Geographic Names 2010 Version 2 regarding the process to submit a proposal. 

You can check the status of a proposal - the date it was received, when the Registrar considered the proposal, when it was gazetted in the Victoria Government Gazette or when it was registered:
