Vicmap Elevation currently consists of these unique dataset themes-

- Vicmap Elevation - Coastal Topographic 1m DEM and 0.5m Contours
Vicmap Elevation - DTM20m & DTM10m
The DTM20m is a statewide (with DTM10m at 70% coverage) digital terrain model (DTM) representing Victoria's terrain surface at 20 & 10m grid resolution.
These newly released DTMs have been enhanced through the use of higher resolution elevation datasets to improve the quality of the datasets in localised areas. The DTMs are hydrologically enforced and correctly define the natural surface drainage and hydrological flow. The improvements in the DTMs increase their usability for catchment, flood and landscape analysis and natural resource oriented applications when used along with other Vicmap products and imagery.

Vicmap Elevation - 10-20 Contours & Relief
This product represents Victoria’s elevations in the form of contours, spot heights and surface features including cliffs, embankments and rocky outcrops among others. The 10-20 metre contours and spot heights are the source datasets used to create Vicmap Elevation – DTM20m & DTM10m.
This product can be used in a variety of applications, particularly in emergency services, natural resource management, planning and development and digital map publication. These datasets can also be used in conjunction with other Vicmap Digital datasets, particularly 1:25,000 Vicmap Transport and Hydro.

Vicmap Elevation - 1-5 Contours & Relief
This product is an elevation dataset sourced from Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works surveys conducted in the 1970s and 1980s. This valuable dataset enables a more detailed contour overlay of the Melbourne metropolitan area.
This spatial information can be used for feature and contour surveys, planning applications and broad scale volume estimations.

Vicmap Elevation 1-5 Contours and Relief Metadata.
NOTE- Data is incomplete, i.e. there are 'holes' in the data where there are quarries, roadworks or large building sites. Areas of this dataset was originally captured in 1 metre, 2 metre or 5 metre contour intervals. Two an five metre tiles are generally located in the outer, steeper localities. Customers need to satisfy themselves they are happy with changing contour intervals within Localities.
Vicmap Elevation – Coastal Topographic 1m DEM and 0.5m Contours
These products provide a high resolution representation of natural relief features along the coast of Victoria It includes a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) at 1m grid resolution and Contours with an interval of 50cm.
This spatial information was generated as part of DEPI's Future Coasts Program, and can be used as an input for sea level rise modelling, landscape analysis, planning, hazard mitigation and environmental modelling. This data is already being used in projects accross Victoria, including identifying the impact of sea level rise on local communities,settlements and coastal wetlands.
