Provision is made for Victorian schools to possess the following species of wildlife for non-invasive observation in the classroom.

Classroom observation / education of native wildlife

Primary and Secondary schools and Kindergartens require a permit to keep frogs, reptiles, birds and mammals for observation in the classroom. (Wildlife must NOT be taken from the wild without a permit.)
