5 steps for using PSO
There are 5 steps for using Planning Schemes Online. A brief explanation of each step is given below, for a detailed explanation of what to do for each of the 5 steps, click on the appropriate heading (link):
- Step 1 - Select a Planning Scheme
Select the Planning Scheme you wish to look at.
- Step 2 - Go to the PS Home Page
(First, complete step 1.)
Go to the Home Page for the Planning Scheme you have selected. Pause and quickly orientate yourself into the basic structure of a Planning Scheme, and to see how this structure is reflected in Planning Schemes Online.
ie. Planning Schemes consist of two main parts: maps and ordinance. Planning Schemes Online reflects this division.
- Step 3 - Go to the PS Map Page

Find out where the zones and any overlays apply.
- Step 4 - Go to the PS Home Page - Ordinance
(First, complete step 1.)
Find out what effect these zones and overlays have.
- Step 5 - Seek further information if necessary (Select to go to a list of helpful links)
