Catchment Activity Management System (CAMS)

CAMS is a state-wide, web-based data management and reporting system that was developed for regional DEPI and CMA staff. The purpose of the system is to assist with the management of Catchment Activities that are derived from CAWS indicator projects. CAMS was implemented in 2001 and captures information on the

  • project details
  • activities performed
  • standard outputs
  • budget information and expenditure (grants)
  • project sites (spatial information)
The system has functions allowing for the storage of digital images (.jpg) and electronic documents (.doc & .pdf) associated with the works project. Other functions include the ability to import and export spatial data, draw spatial features directly into the system and the creation of simple maps.

Obtaining Access to CAMS

To obtain access to CAMS, please complete a Request for Access to CAMS form (in compliance with the Victorian Information Privacy Act) and email a scanned copy of the completed document to rdn.cams depi email address: rdn.cams@dse.vic.gov.au with the subject = CAMS
