Environment Assessment

The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) manages procedures under the Environment Effects Act 1978 for assessment of projects with potentially significant environmental effects. This role encompasses both processing of referrals to the Minister for Planning for a decision on a need for an Environment Effects Statement (EES), as well as administration of the process when the Minister determines that an EES is required.
