The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is proud to sponsor a new TV series, Mercurio’s Menu, which showcases the quality, abundance and diversity of food and wine from some of Victoria’s most passionate producers. Victoria’s primary industries contribute fundamentally to wealth and wellbeing by producing ‘world-class’ food that is essential to life and quality of life. DPI enables our primary industries to maintain and enhance Victoria’s reputation for world-class food by sustainably increasing wealth, employment and investment in regional communities. Victoria is Australia’s largest food and fibre exporting state, accounting for 26 per cent ($6.88 billion) of the national total.
