About DEPI agencies

Some of the agencies which manage Victoria's environmental resources on behalf of the responsible minister include:

catchment management authorities
water corporations and distributors
regional coastal management boards
waste management groups
alpine resort management boards
traditional owner land management agencies
large one-off agencies (e.g. the Zoo, the Royal Boatanic Gardens, Parks Victoria)
committees of management of crown land reserves - including over 1,200 small committees with mostly volunteer members
a range of advisory bodies (e.g.ministerial advisory committees).

Most of the 70 to 80 larger agencies have websites which provide an overview of the agency's functions, copies of annual reports, and other information about the agency:

environment and climate change agencies
water agencies.
