National Police Record Checks in DEPI
DEPI requires prospective new employees to undergo a National Police Record Check before employment commences. This applies to all new staff, including agency staff and those joining DEPI from other government departments. If you are a current DEPI employee at the time of recruitment, you will not be required to undergo a check.
Having a criminal record does not automatically preclude you from being employed. DEPI Employee Relations will undertake a comprehensive assessment before making any decision on suitability for employment.
Please read all of the information below carefully to ensure you understand what is required of you at each stage of the recruitment process.
