All employment opportunities at DEPI can be found on the Victorian Government Careers website. They include jobs in a wide range of fields, such as general and applied sciences, biology, ecology, fire fighting, economics, law, engineering, finance, education, project management, human resources, communications and information technology.

We also offer a number of specialist employment programs:

DEPI Cadetship Program
Get paid to study science at a Victorian university, plus employment with DEPI on completion of your degree.
The DEPI Science Graduate Program
A two year career development program for recent graduates in science, natural resource management, ecology, conservation and related fields.
VPS Graduate Recruitment and Development Scheme
A general program for graduates, involving 12 months of workplace rotations across the Victorian Public Service, then a return to ongoing employment in your "home" department or agency.
