Specialist Property Guidelines

The Specialist Property Guidelines (SPGs) have been established to promote consistency and provide guidance to valuers conducting statutory valuations.

The guidelines have been compiled by Valuer-General Victoria in conjunction with the Municipal Group of Valuers via a steering committee of industry and municipal valuer professionals.

The guildelines cover Aged Care and Private Health Care Facilities; Caravan Parks; Development Land - Residential and Industrial; Golf Courses; Hotels and Motels; Irrigation Districts; Marinas, Outdoor Advertising Signs, Petrol Stations, Quarries, Telecommunications, Vineyards and Wineries; and Shopping Centres.

Volume 1 was released in October 2008 and Volume 2 in August 2009. The guideline for Shopping Centres was added to Volume 2 in October 2009.
