Assessment Guidelines for this Environment Effects Statement (EES) were released in May 2006. This EES is to focus on impacts of the proposal relating to coastal processes, water quality, marine ecology and cultural heritage.

The proponent is currently preparing the EES in accordance with these guidelines.

The proposal will require a range of approvals, applications for which will be co-ordinated with the EES process.

Project History
On 1st August 2005, the Minister for Planning determined that the proposed Mornington Safe Harbour project required an EES.

Project Description
Mornington Yacht Club proposes to establish a sheltered facility providing pen berths for approximately 180 boats, protected by a wavescreen to be mounted on piles and extending approximately 210 metres east-west along the 7 metre depth contour.
