Epping Central Projects

Significant pedestrian and cyclist improvements will continue to be undertaken in Epping Central including signage, shared paths, lighting and improved amenity of the public realm.

With assistance from the Department of Transport’s Local Areas Access Plan funding, Council is about to commence construction of a 4.5 metre wide shared path connecting Epping Station to the Northern Hospital along Cooper Street. The path will be enhanced with seating, lighting, signage, landscaping, cycle parking and public art made available with assistance from DPCD’s Creating Better Places Program.

A significant branding strategy is currently being prepared for Epping Central that will be utilised by Council, local businesses and the State Government.

The preparation of a Structure Plan in 2009 will lead to the further redevelopment of Epping Central.
