The Priority Development Panel (PDP) has considered the request by Equiset for a proposed redevelopment of Monash University's Caulfield Campus and the Caulfield Activity Centre. This was to be achieved through significant urban design, site planning, and connections and upgrades to the public transport networks of the Activity Centre.
The PDP process for this referral involved:
- Initial presentation to the PDP by Council and Equiset in early February 2006 to identify key issues and further information required.
- A series of workshops and focus groups during February to April 2006 on transport issues and to refine development concepts and plans and draft planning controls.
- Two information sessions, followed by a period for written submissions from attendees and key stakeholders, and PDP interviews with key stakeholders in April and June.
- Further workshops and focus groups with Council and the proponent in June and July 2006 to respond to issues raised in the submissions, including further refinements to the development concepts and draft planning scheme controls as required.
