Yarra River Planning

Yarra Plan | Yarra River Action Plan | Tourism Plan for Melbourne's Waterfront | Two Rivers Project

The Yarra River environs contain some of the most valuable landscape, flora, fauna, geological and geomorphological assets in metropolitan Melbourne. Remnant vegetation provide habitat for native fauna. The area provides open space for recreational activities and is a favourite place for walking and cycling.

Ongoing effort is required to balance the potentially destructive impacts from the surrounding city and to protect the valuable landscape from inappropriate development, including invasions of weeds, litter and wear from recreational activities.
