Mornington Weed Management
Initiatives Home
The Mornington Penninsula Weed Project began in 2004. The project brings together a diverse range of public land managers within the Mornington area to optimise the protection of natural values.
A working group with representatives from a range of agencies managing public land in the area meets regularly to prioritise areas of high natural value and to allocate resources. Working group members also engage with community groups to target weeds on fragmented parcels of crown land.
This cooperative management approach allows for weed threats to be managed more effectively across public land tenures.
