The Department of Sustainability and Environment is committed to the improvement of Aboriginal wellbeing through the development of partnerships to achieve Aboriginal aspiration for land, resources, culture, heritage, family and community.

Indigenous Partnership Framework (PDF - 1.1 Mb) DSE recognises that Victorian Indigenous communities, as the traditional owners of the State's land and waters, have a fundamental role in the management of Victoria's natural resources. It also recognises that it is only through the respect for, and integration of, Indigenous knowledge and perspectives that best practice land and resource management can be achieved for the benefit of all Victorians.
