The State Government of Victoria works in partnership with farmers, Landcare groups, industry, catchment bodies and others to achieve sustainable development and conservation of our vital land and water resources.
Victoria's vision for natural resource management seeks to ensure the health of our land, water and vegetation are improved, long term productivity is enhanced and regional communities are resilient and prosperous.
To achieve this vision, Victoria's agriculture and other natural resource-based industries must be developed sustainably, and we must improve the condition of our land and water resources. We have a great opportunity, with the establishment of the Natural Heritage Trust, to apply Commonwealth, State and Regional resources in priority areas so that this vision is realised.
