OH&S Training for Volunteers
The Department of Sustainability and Environment recognises the significant contributions made by volunteers working on our coast. In line with our commitment to improving volunteer safety, we will be continue to conduct trainings on managing risk and occupational safety throughout 2009.
These trainings are specifically designed to outline some of the key procedures around OH&S, and to assist leaders in assessing and managing issues in order to ensure that volunteering is safe. These trainings will be of particular benefit to those in leadership positions within coastal volunteer groups, and to those with long-term volunteer aspirations.
