BushBroker Credit Auction Trial
The Department of Sustainability and Environment, in collaboration with VicRoads, is currently conducting a trial as part of the BushBroker program to secure native vegetation credits that could potentially be used as offsets by VicRoads.
| Where? The trial is being conducted in the Victorian Volcanic Plain Bioregion. Native grassland or woodland sites are now being sought within this Bioregion. This Bioregion occurs in parts of the Corangamite, Glenelg-Hopkins and North Central Catchment Management Authority regions. A map of the project areas can be seen below.  BushBroker Credit Auction Trial - Project area (PDF - 87 Kb)Registering an expression of interest If you live in the project area and have a grassland or woodland on your property, please register an expression of interest to participate in the VicRoads Credit Auction by telephoning the DSE Customer Service Centre on 136 186, 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday. An operator will collect some basic information from you (eg. name, address, telephone number) and will then send you an information kit providing further background information on the project. A field officer will then contact you to arrange a suitable time for an obligation free site visit. Landowners are advised the Expressions of Interest close don the 22nd of December 2006.
