Census 2006

The National Census of Population and Housing is conducted every five years by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and provides vital information used by Governments and the community for planning, policy development, service delivery and research.

With the first release of Census data on 27June, 2007 the Spatial Analysis and Research Branch will represent this data in a broad range of products and services over the 2007 and 2008 period. Take a look at our Calender of Events for more information on the 2006 Census Regional Forums.
